Several Xelacore modules utilise the costing sheet and component library features to generate a digital BOM (Bill of Materials).
The simple interface allows the user to select a wide range of components from a central component library.
The component library is managed by your Administrator, this is to ensure the accuracy and consistency of data. All components are managed through a detailed inventory module that synchronises ordering and stock levels to maintain up to the minute location and valuation of company Inventory.
All components must be added to the library prior to generating a purchase order or associating to a costing sheet on a style.
- Adding components from the library.
- Searching the library.
- Modifying a component variation.
- Adding graded components, Zip, Belts, Graded Trim.
The costing sheet is arranged by type
Selecting the "+" icon adjacent to the component name displays additional options for the component type
In this instance, the main fabric is selected
Select the option button to access component functions and click "Choose from library".
You will be presented with the Component library, where you can scroll to find your desired product, or use the search fields above key column attributes.
The may refine your search by typing the supplier name, the "search ahead" feature will begin to display matching records, clicking on the relevant entry will display the supplier's components.
Or you can search by a supplier reference or quality number.
The component is added to the costing sheet, along with the component Id. Several fields of library components are NON-Editable and appear with a grey background.
Editable fields are price, per and consumption, adding the consumption automatically updates the row value and cost summary.
Modifying a component variation
There will be times where the component you wish to select is either; not shown as a colour variant in the list, or the component does not exist in the library.
If the component is present but the colour is missing, select the component from the library, then choose the option to "Detach from Costing"
The component id is removed and the fields are all editable. It is best practice to edit the Colour only, and leave the other component identifying fields untouched.
Your administrator will update the component library with your amendments, you can then select the corrected component as previously discussed.
Adding a new component
You may find that the component you wish to add is not found in the library, and you need to manually add the item details.
Begin by selecting the component you wish to add
Select the supplier from the drop-down list, (if the supplier does not exist, contact your administrator).
Complete the remaining fields with the relevant information, this may be copied from the vendor's product sample card, contact your administrator and request that they add the item to the component library, and update the costing sheet with the correct item once it has been added.
NOTE;This Component will still be required to be set up in the Inventory Library before the Component Purchase Order can be created
Adding graded components, Zip, Belts, Graded Trim.
Zips, Belts and beaded trims are examples of "Graded Components". These components types begin with a "Base size" and additional size variations are added later to accommodate the various garment sizes.
For example, your design requires a 40cm zip for the base size 10 garment, the client orders sizes 6,8,10,12,14,16 and 18 and provides your technical team with the "Zip Grade" increments for each garment size, where the 6,8 and 10 require 40cm, 12,14 and 16 require a 42cm zip, and the size 18 a 44cm zip.
Add the Base size zip to the costing sheet, your technical team can then indicate the remaining zip sizes, and pass this information automatically to your purchasing team.
Each graded trim component has specific fields to match their unique requirements.
